Written by ahmetkozan. I have not played the Assassin's Creed games. However, this movie did not make me feel as though I needed to have played them in order to understand or enjoy the film.
The cinematography was great, and there were some magnificent aerial views of 15th century Spain along with modern day.
Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard both gave excellent performances, managing to deliver the occasional corny, melodramatic dialogue with poise, and the supporting cast were equally great in their roles.
Despite the occasional cheese, this film had some excellent dialogue that were thoughtful and poignant - unexpected in a fantasy action movie!
Speaking of action - this was the best part of the movie. Gorgeous choreography, and I loved all the various weaponry and free running.
This is by no means an award winning film, but overall it was incredibly enjoyable, and I don't think it quite deserves the negativity critics and fans of the games are giving it.

Der Rest aber ist Schrott. Aber der Reihe nach: Die Geschichte allein ist schon vollkommen hanebüchen und Mehr erfahren. Ich habe einige der Spiele mit hoher Motivation gepsielt und war daher auch sehr gespannt wie man es angeht aus der Thematik eine Filmumsetzung zu gewinnen.
Immerhin hat man die wesentlichsten Grundelemente passend übernommen: zwei Geheimbunde, Assassinen und Templer, bekriegen sich; und eben im hier und jetzt steigt ein Krieger in den sogenannten Animus um Hinweise aus der Vergangenheit zu sammeln; des weiteren wird in der Vergangenheit viel Thomas H.

I'm a fan of the games myself, I play them and have really enjoyed the franchise as a whole, that being said I went into this with an open mind, unlike allot of people I think.
On first viewing the movie I was left feeling a little bit lack lustre, I wasn't really sure if I liked it or not, but upon a second viewing I feel in love with it.
I think thats the fault with all films like this and there's just not enough time in one movie to fully explore everything. I want to know more, do Fassbender and his rag tag team rebuild the brotherhood?
I really, really want a second and third movie to find out more about the charter's because the film feels like the opening act with a promise for so much more which, if they go ahead with a second movie I think they can deliver.
Assassins Creed has a great deal going for it, with Fassbender playing both characters with full conviction - his ancestor, witnessed through the dna-based 'magic' of a machine named The Animus - and his modern day descendant Callum, who's a convicted murderer.
