Though he obviously has a few more miles on the odometer, Campbell still has the magic and does not disappoint. This series is a real roller-coaster ride of humor, savage darkness and gore - and covers a lot of ground.
The first season is especially strong, the second and third still very entertaining and needed for closure. This is allegedly Campbell's last stint as "Ash" so get it while it's hot.

Ash is as quotable as ever and somehow doesn't become tiresome over the course of the season. Tons and tons of practical effects and more blood than you are expecting.
I don't care how much you are expecting There are an episode or two in the middle that almost drop my review by a star, but it recovers and finishes strong.
This show is so flippin' groovy. When I first heard that they were making this I was kind of shaking my head and wondering why they couldn't just make a sequel to Army of Darkness, because I thought there was absolutely no way a TV show would live up to the movie Tons of blood and gore, tons of laughs Season 2 is even better than season 1, i'll be getting that in the future as well.
Just recently added Stars to my plan at home and before I'd seen any of these episodes of Ash vs. So I've been watching every episode with about the same interest I had in the first 6 seasons of the walking dead, which made me wanna see the other seasons, so I got season one of Ash vs.

Not to mention some great commentary on each episode. This series is a fun continuation to the ultimate experience in horror.

This is a great show, especially for fans of the original Evil Dead movies. There is a ton of blood, of course, and lots of chainsawing, boomsticking action, although it is slightly predictable for hardcore fans.
Special effects are a little hammy, but what else would you expect from Evil Dead? Probably not for the casual viewer, Ash Vs Evil Dead really gives the impression that it truly was made with the devoted Evil Dead fan at heart, and it makes for an enjoyable viewing experience at least for me and my husband.
I wasn't expecting this to be as good as it was. The show is extremely faithful to the original three evil dead films. My only complaint is that one "deadite" isn't a "deadite", rather its an "imp" from the Doom franchise.
I'm not sure why they did that. Regardless, this is much more fun and entertaining then the walking dead and I'm looking forward to getting season two next summer on Blu-ray.
