Short visit to see friends. I have been working in Hannover and decided to visit a few friends in Hamburg. I initially booked for one night but I did book for a second night because I could not be bothered to check out and then wait to check in to another hotel.
The hotel itself was clean, room was fine and overall good for the price. The staff were the real let down.
I did not have an interaction with a member of staff which I thought was pleasant. I came across one who I would go as far as to say was homophobic.

When we got there, we were told we cannot put the bikes in the room. That was the first issue. The area is not the best The rooms don't have a fridge or air-con it was the heatwave or kettle or anything.
There was one bottle of water on the desk which my friend drank but no idea they will charge us 4Euros for that bottle at the end. There is no sign, not in the guide to warn you that you will pay a ridiculous price for a ml water.
She paid at the end then they asked a million questions about how many bottles she had and if she paid and if she was sure if it was only that bottle.
We just couldn't believe it We asked reception if we could have a kettle as we would like to make some porridge or coffee at least we had those but needed hot water on race morning at 4.
We said we will bring it down when we leave for the race, only needed it for 10 minutes. He rang our room in the morning, asking for the kettle back!!??
Like we were going to steal the kettle??!!! There was some kind of gas problem in the hotel as well which apparently never happened before but overall, this hotel and some of the staff there are some and friendly staff of course are an utter disaster.
If you may need at least a few basic stuff, I'd recommend going somewhere different. Date of stay: July Value. Sleep Quality. Room Tip: Perfect for winter when you don't need to have windows open or have a fridge.

Overall decent. A bit of a trek to the reeperbahn though. I'd probably stay in a different area if I was going to Hamburg again, but this was a good stay.

Decent hotel. We were in town for a few days and this hotel servee our needs. It's in walking distance to two metro stations, as well as the central train stations.
There are plenty of food options in the vicinity. Breakfast is included, and it's pretty standard fare. This is a no frills hotel that served our purposes for the first few days of our trip.

Penny supermarket is just up the road for those snacks on the way back from the station. The room was comfortable with black out curtains and soundproof windows.
